Beyond
Our
Frames

A place for photographs, journeys, field notes and the stories that usually disappear into hard drives and social feeds. It began with a small fundraiser for my daughter's school project and grew into something I had wanted for years.

Why we made this

Two cameras.
One wild idea.

Beyond Our Frames is our father-and-daughter field journal — less about perfect photographs and more about what they make us remember: the wait, the surprise, the road, the animal, and the conversation afterwards.

And when a frame can also support conservation, it gets to travel a little further than our hard drive.

Postcard from the road

Amboseli, Kenya

A frontal portrait of Craig, one of Africa's largest tuskers, photographed in Amboseli, Kenya in 2023. His enormous ivory catches the only available light while the rest of him dissolves into shadow. Craig passed away in 2025, making this one of the closest portraits ever made of him.
